I am a thirty seven years old and while I love exercise and fruits and veggies, I have been through it with my health. I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was thirteen years old and I have struggled with pain management ever since. In 2008, I had an eighteen centimeter tumor removed from the tail of my pancreas, which was found to be a non-invasive malignancy called a solid pseudo-papillary tumor.  I have not had treatments for the cancer, but see an oncologist regularly and I am now at one ct scan per year. In January of 2010, I acquired myself a bionic foot, thanks for the orthopedic magic at Beth Israel Hospital. Being a flatfooted girl who discovered a love for running and all the social goodies that accompany the 5k and 10k experience, I shredded a tendon in my right foot. I am still in physical therapy and struggle with walking-running is off the table for now.

My weight has always been an issue for me, but what I have found is that when I am feeling well and managing pain, I am much more in control of my habits and much more aware of the power of wellness. With health struggles, it can be difficult to stay aboard the wellness train, but I just keep on trying.

I hope by sharing my stories, experiences, tips, and questions that you will find a little motivation for yourself and join me in feeling good inside and out.
